Tree and layered depth stuff.
I'm using my tree from last week for the depth assignment for this week. The scene doesn't have any lights at the moment because I couldn't figure out how to get a skylight to properly cast shadows with all the opacity maps all over the place. It also desperately needs fog, but that had trouble with the opacity maps too.
A few of the layers I painted for the scene:
Diffuse maps for the tree and rock:
Ideally it will look like this when finished, I hope:
Also probably needs more unicorns, heroic gentlemanly teapots with eternal flaming ice swords, and unfortunate plot twists.
